Engagement Overview The Online Campus Pastor serves as a strategic and pastoral extension of the Lead Pastor’s office, specifically designated to oversee the health and operational excellence of the virtual congregation. While the Lead Pastor remains the primary shepherd and visionary for the entire church, the Online Campus Pastor is responsible for the day-to‑day management of the online "campus," ensuring that the Lead Pastor’s vision is executed with high-level care and technical precision. This role focuses on bridging the gap between the pulpit and the digital screen, transforming passive viewers into an engaged, discipled community.
Scope of Services
Vision Implementation:
Directly translates the Lead Pastor’s weekly and seasonal vision into actionable digital strategies for the online campus.
Delegated Shepherding:
Acts as the primary pastoral point of contact for online members, providing localized care, prayer, and connection on behalf of the Lead Pastor.
Service Hosting & Curation:
Manages the "Digital Lobby" and worship flow, ensuring the online environment reflects the culture and excellence established by the church leadership.
Pulpit Support:
Provides occasional preaching and teaching at the invitation and direction of the Lead Pastor, serving as a reliable voice for pulpit relief or specialized digital series.
Operational Oversight:
Monitors the technical and administrative health of the virtual campus, ensuring that digital "connection points" (groups, giving, serving) are functioning perfectly.
Professional Qualifications Leadership & Experience
Proven Track Record:
3–5 years of successful experience in running a church, campus, or major ministry, demonstrating the ability to lead under authority (the "Second-in-Command" mindset).
Operational Command:
High-level ability to manage complex systems and volunteer teams with a focus on the Vision and Structure of the church.
Spiritual & Character
Loyalty & Alignment:
A deep commitment to the Lead Pastor’s vision and the Greater IMPACT Church Statement of Faith.
Teachable Spirit:
Ability to receive direction and feedback from the Lead Pastor to ensure unified messaging across all platforms.
Legal & Safety
Mandatory Background Check:
Must successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background check and sex offender registry screening.
