Location California – Irvine, Corona, Murrieta, or San Marcos.

Base Pay Range $93,000.00 / yr – $120,000.00 / yr (depends on licensure and experience).

Position Summary We are seeking a full‑time Civil Engineering Designer to work under the guidance of a Project Manager. In this role, you will design residential, commercial, and public works projects in Southern California, prepare engineering plans and specifications, and assist with cost estimates.

Job Duties

Prepare preliminary and final engineering plans for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, including grading, street, and utility improvements.

Design drainage and water‑quality mitigation for low‑impact development applications.

Prepare technical reports and calculations (hydrology/hydraulics, WQMP, SWPPP, water & sewer).

Ensure design quality and innovate through supervision, plan reviews, and training of junior staff.

Mentor less experienced staff.

Develop practical and economical solutions to technical problems.

Manage technical aspects of projects, preparing construction plans, reports, and documents for land development.

Assist Project Manager in client and agency interaction and build lasting relationships.

Monitor project budgets and hours dedicated to specific tasks.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and/or 3 years experience managing multi‑disciplined land development engineering tasks.

Experience working with survey data to prepare base maps.

Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Civil Design, H2OMap Sewer, and Water.

Experience in engineering design for land development projects.

Strong problem‑solving, judgment, decision‑making, communication, and teamwork skills.
