Strategic Events Manager

MongoDB, Austin, TX, United States

The Role The Strategic Events Manager is a key member of the Global Strategic Events team, responsible for planning and executing MongoDB's strategic events portfolio with a primary focus on programs in the AMER region, while partnering to support global priority programs and working closely with teams across MongoDB to deliver cohesive, high-impact event experiences that support broader business objectives.

This role leads AMER execution for flagship owned and sponsored events, and works across the full global portfolio as team priorities require. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and strong operator who can translate global objectives into executional excellence.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Austin for our hybrid working model or the United States remotely.

Who You Are You care about the customer experience, not just the logistics behind it. You understand that every program detail, from how registration flows to how a room is set up, is something a customer actually experiences. You sweat those details because you know they matter, and you're relentless about delivering on your commitments.

You embrace reality. You're clear-eyed about what's working and what isn't, you have the courage to say so, and you don't let bias or wishful thinking get in the way of making the right call. You make decisions under pressure, own the outcome either way, and communicate honestly when things don't go to plan.

You take ownership seriously. You demand a lot from yourself, you balance working independently with knowing when to pull others in, and you don't confuse being busy with making things matter. When something is above your lane, you elevate fast and cleanly. When it's yours to solve, you solve it.

This team takes their work seriously, cares about doing it well, and is genuinely good at it. If that sounds like your kind of environment, you'll fit right in.
