Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled
Oracle HCM Technical Consultant
with a strong focus on backend development, integrations, and system architecture. This role is ideal for a hands‑on technical professional who has deep experience working within Oracle HCM Cloud environments and is comfortable building scalable, high‑quality solutions.
The selected candidate will play a key role in a
new Oracle HCM implementation , contributing across the full project lifecycle—from design and development through deployment and post‑production support. This position requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, functional teams, and external implementation partners to ensure successful delivery of technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Translate business requirements into technical designs, including documentation for integrations, reports, data migrations, and system enhancements.
Architect and develop
RICEW components
(Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Workflows) aligned with Oracle HCM Cloud capabilities.
Build and maintain
inbound and outbound integrations
using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST/SOAP APIs, and file‑based integrations.
Develop and manage
data migration processes
using HDL, HCM Extracts, UCM, and file transfer mechanisms.
Create and enhance reports and dashboards using
BI Publisher (BIP)
and
OTBI .
Customize and extend Oracle HCM applications, including page personalization using sandbox environments.
Design and implement
Fast Formulas, approval workflows, and custom roles .
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external partners to ensure alignment on technical solutions and delivery timelines.
Provide technical oversight and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
Support quarterly Oracle Cloud releases, including impact assessment, testing, and implementation of new features.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long‑term fixes.
Lead data conversion efforts from legacy systems to Oracle HCM Cloud, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing across the team.
Conduct technical training sessions and assist end users during UAT and post‑go‑live phases.
Participate in cutover planning and provide stabilization support after deployment.
Required Qualifications
Minimum
10 years of experience
in software development or systems analysis.
At least
3+ years of hands‑on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud technical components .
Proven experience supporting
multiple Oracle HCM implementations , preferably full lifecycle.
Strong expertise in
Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
and integration design patterns.
Hands‑on experience with:
HDL (HCM Data Loader)
HCM Extracts
BI Publisher (BIP) and OTBI reporting
Proficiency in
SQL and PL/SQL ;
Python is a plus .
Strong understanding of Oracle HCM modules such as
Core HR, Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Management .
Experience collaborating with implementation partners and ensuring quality delivery.
Ability to mentor team members and guide technical decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience working in a consulting or systems integrator environment.
Familiarity with advanced Oracle features such as
Redwood UI, Oracle Graphical Language (OGL), and Recruitment Booster .
Exposure to cloud databases (ATP) and secure file transfer mechanisms (SFTP).
Strong understanding of full project lifecycle activities including design, build, test, deploy, and support.
Experience in Agile or hybrid project delivery environments.

This is a
hybrid role (3 days onsite required)
in Newark, NJ.
