Who We Are Looking For We are seeking an Associate Director, Social Media Strategist and subject matter expert to join one of the largest teams at VML working on a top client.

Who You Are You’re a curious, culturally‑fluent strategist who loves to question assumptions and challenge the status quo. You’ll uncover insights that can guide a brand’s ideas and decisions and play a key role in shaping their overall approach to social.

What you’ll do:

Develop social strategies, social playbooks, activations and campaign ideas

Conduct and synthesize research, social listening and other data to guide a brand’s strategic decisions

Partner with creative, strategy, data and media teams to support a brand’s social marketing goals

Onboard and train junior team members

What You’ll Need

6+ years of social marketing experience

Experience leading projects and overseeing the work of junior strategists and community managers

Advanced understanding of social platforms and functions, and the ability to share that knowledge with others

Ability to collaborate effectively within a team

Strong communication and presentation skills

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job‑related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. $60,000—$140,000 USD
