Sales Executive, Corrections (High-Impact Public Sector Sales)
RaySecur, Inc., Boston, MA, United States
Company Description
RaySecur is a rapidly growing security technology company transforming how organizations detect hidden threats. Our patented imaging systems—used by Fortune 500 companies and government agencies worldwide—are the first desktop scanners capable of seeing inside objects in real time and in 3D, delivering X-ray–like imaging without harmful radiation. At RaySecur, we combine deep technical innovation with a mission‑driven mindset: protecting people and organizations from hidden threats. Our team is entrepreneurial, collaborative, and driven to challenge the status quo while delivering solutions that make the world safer. We are committed to excellence in our work and to fostering a culture built on trust, care, and shared purpose.
Job Description RaySecur is scaling rapidly within the corrections market, where contraband detection and mail security are becoming mission‑critical priorities. We are seeking a Corrections Sales Executive to join our growing sales team. In this role, you will drive adoption of category‑defining technology across federal, state, and county correctional systems, closing high‑impact deals that directly affect safety, operations, and policy. You will own the full sales lifecycle—building pipeline, developing relationships, navigating complex procurement processes, and closing high‑impact deals. This is a high‑visibility, high‑autonomy role focused on expanding RaySecur’s presence in a rapidly evolving market. We are looking for a sales leader who can scale a territory, not just manage one—someone capable of materially impacting revenue growth while helping shape our corrections go‑to‑market strategy.
Responsibilities
Own and deliver against assigned sales quota (units and revenue) within the corrections market
Build and maintain a qualified pipeline across federal, state, and county institutions
Develop and execute strategic account plans for key corrections systems and agencies
Navigate public sector procurement processes, including RFPs, RFQs, GSA schedules, and contract vehicles
Lead complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders (wardens, procurement, security leadership)
Coordinate cross‑functionally with Product Specialists, Security Advisors, and Customer Enablement teams to execute demos, pilots, and deployments
Drive expansion opportunities within existing accounts (multi‑site and system‑wide rollouts)
Provide structured market feedback to inform product development and go‑to‑market strategy
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in quota‑carrying sales roles (public sector preferred)
Proven track record of closing complex, long‑cycle deals (6–18+ months)
Strong ability to manage multiple stakeholders and navigate procurement processes
Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presence
Willingness to travel frequently (30–60%) to customer sites
Preferred Qualifications
Direct experience in corrections, law enforcement, or public safety sectors
Experience selling physical security, detection or hardware + software solutions
Familiarity with government procurement (GSA schedules, state contracts, RFP processes)
Established network within corrections or public sector ecosystem
Experience working in high‑growth or startup environments
What To Expect At RaySecur Joining RaySecur means working alongside a diverse and highly skilled team committed to solving meaningful security challenges. Our environment is fast‑paced, collaborative, and focused on continuous learning, giving employees the opportunity to contribute to impactful technology while developing their own expertise. We support flexibility and work‑life balance, offering both remote and in‑office work options depending on the role. Team members receive hands‑on training, access to professional development opportunities, and the support of a leadership team that prioritizes open communication, transparency, and mentorship. At RaySecur, individuals are trusted to take ownership of their work while collaborating closely to achieve shared goals. We look forward to meeting you!
