Position Summary The Tampa Bay Times is seeking a driven Advertising Sales Account Executive to grow advertising revenue through print and digital marketing solutions. This is an in-territory, outside sales role focused on new business development, account growth, and community engagement.

Representing one of the region’s most comprehensive news and information brands — including the Tampa Bay Times, Tampa Bay Beacons, and our in-house Digital Marketing Agency — you will help businesses connect with local audiences through strategic, results-driven advertising solutions.

Responsibilities

Prospect and develop new business through cold calling, appointment setting, and networking

Sell integrated print and digital advertising solutions to small and mid-sized businesses

Generate leads and build a consistent, active sales pipeline

Create customized advertising proposals aligned with client goals

Meet or exceed revenue targets within assigned territoryGrow and retain a book of business through ongoing account management

Represent the Tampa Bay Times and affiliated brands professionally within the community

Collaborate across departments to support campaign execution and client success

Required Skills & Qualifications

At least 1 year of outside sales experience required

At least 1 year of digital advertising sales experience (websites, display, SEM/SEO, social media, email marketing)

Ability to prospect confidently and conduct face-to-face sales calls

Proven success meeting revenue and growth goals

Strong communication and presentation skills

Ability to assess client needs and recommend effective solutions

Organized with strong pipeline and time management skills

Team-oriented with a client-first mindset

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
