Tech Content Writer (Onshore)

KeyBank is seeking a juniormid-level Technical Content Writer to support API and microservices documentation efforts within an Agile product team. The resource will work on-site in one of Key's approved hub locations and collaborate closely with the Lead Tech Content Writer, Product Owners, and API engineering teams.

This will be a 1-year contract with potential extension, likely processed through Workspan.

Core Responsibilities

• Create and maintain API documentation and technical content for new and existing features.
• Document microservices, integrations, and product features using tools such as Confluence or similar documentation platforms (specific tools not mandated).
• Participate as a full member of an Agile scrum team, receiving user stories/tasks and delivering documentation aligned with sprint cycles.
• Collaborate regularly with the Lead Tech Content Writer for reviews, quality checks, and alignment on documentation standards.
• Work independently on assigned tasks but present deliverables for stakeholder review.
• Support API-focused product initiatives and ensure documentation is accurate, clear, and usable for internal teams and consumers.

Required Skills & Must-Haves

• Hands-on API documentation experience (non-negotiable). The resource must already understand what APIs dominimal training.
• Experience documenting microservices.
• Experience using Confluence or similar documentation tools (flexible on which tool).
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and follow defined processes.
• Strong written communication skills and comfort integrating with business & technical teams.
• 25 years of relevant experience (junior to mid-level).

Nice-to-Haves

• Banking or financial industry experience is helpful but not required.
