Company Overview Hanwha Qcells USA Corp (Qcells USA), headquartered in Irvine, CA, provides utility‑scale modules, solar photovoltaic (PV), and battery energy storage systems (BESS) project development along with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services nationwide.
Summary Responsible for authoring, managing, and maintaining clear, accurate, and compliant technical documentation for EPC Renewable projects. Reports to the Director of Process Innovation.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
Technical Document Writing
Author, review, edit, and maintain high‑quality technical documentation for EPC projects, including policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Maintain consistency in style, terminology, formatting, and document structure across all project deliverables.
Support audits and compliance activities by preparing, organizing, and updating required technical documents.
Technical Team Coordination
Work directly with engineering, project, construction, quality, proposal, and procurement management teams to gather technical information.
Manage version control, coordinate multidisciplinary review, and oversee updates throughout the project life cycle.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Utilize document management systems and authoring tools (MS Office, Adobe, SharePoint) to track, store, and publish documentation.
Contribute to continuous improvement of documentation processes, templates, and standards.
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and operational excellence across teams.
Adhere to the company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by Management.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in EPC or EPC Renewable projects.
Experience translating complex technical information into concise, applicable documentation for production teams.
Advanced writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to technical accuracy and clarity.
Familiarity with documentation standards, regulatory compliance, and multidisciplinary project coordination.
Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
Ability to navigate complex, matrixed organizations and influence at multiple levels.
Physical Demands
Stationary position: frequently remains stationary up to 90% of the time and sits up to 8 hours per day.
Move/Traverse: infrequently bend, stand, stoop, and/or walk.
Carry Weight: infrequently carry or lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
Hearing and Speech: frequently communicates with the ability to hear and talk with employees, coworkers, and all personnel matters.
Sight: frequent use of sight to detect images on computer, office documents, and office objects near and far.
Climb: occasionally ascends/descends on stairways to reach office upper and lower floors.
Travel: up to 10% as needed.
Work Environment
Regular professional, office business setting.
Noise level ranges from low to moderate (office setting) and moderate to high (construction worksites).
May transition to onsite or hybrid arrangement as determined by business needs and the Head of Department.
