Summary The Senior Director of Operational Excellence oversees the creation and management of an EPC performance‑management operating system for large‑scale solar PV and storage utility projects. The role works across all functions to identify, measure, audit, and report performance standards, partnering with executive leadership to align operational metrics with organizational strategy and drive enterprise‑wide accountability. The position reports to the SVP of Operational Excellence and is hybrid with a preference for candidates located in or near Houston, TX. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CST, with travel up to 50%. Essential Job Function & Responsibilities
Own and maintain standard operating procedures for the COO office (Operations division).
Oversee the creation, implementation, and governance of an Operational Excellence operating system that establishes organization‑wide performance standards, audits against those standards, and develops performance dashboards.
Own project‑level performance management—both content and cadence.
Prepare and deliver organizational performance updates to senior leaders across the organization.
Identify critical performance issues and risk exposure, recommending corrective actions.
Lead cross‑functional improvement initiatives.
Provide subject‑matter expertise across the business to increase productivity, efficiency, profitability, and sustainability.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum 12 years of experience in construction, including 7 years in a leadership role.
At least 5 years of experience in the solar industry with utility‑scale PV and/or storage.
Project Controls experience highly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of EPC construction standards and metrics.
Proficiency in Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, HCSS, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office.
Ability to create and present executive‑level dashboards and reports.
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, professional team environment with minimal supervision.
Capability to manage and lead a team, setting priorities and expectations.
Ability to travel to corporate offices and job sites up to 50% of the time.

Move/Traverse: infrequently bends, stands, stoops, and/or walks.
