Summary The Mechanical Superintendent is responsible for running the job site, completing projects on time and within budget. This process‑driven leader must effectively keep their project on schedule. As a superintendent, this individual will run various job sites, completing them on time and within budget. This position reports to the Field Operations Manager or another senior management personnel designated by the CEO. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 9:00 am to 6:00 pm local time. The position is expected to travel up to 100 % of the time or as needed for the project.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

Work directly with Regional Manager and project managers to help implement project goals.

Assign duties to staff to implement project goals, as needed.

Oversee variable aspects of projects and provide direct assistance to ensure timely project execution.

Review project implementation and gather data on project execution.

Coordinate with Construction Managers, project managers and other project leads following project execution.

Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure our construction teams have the materials they need.

Communicate about delays and any other issues that must be communicated to clients.

Complete any tasks assigned by the Regional Manager in an efficient and timely manner.

Identify safety concerns and prevention.

Outline completed portions of the past week that meet or exceed project schedule.

Create and maintain project task schedule and 3‑week look‑ahead.

Attend weekly project meetings.

Discuss change events.

Discuss staff and subcontractor performance.

Quality control – inspections, documentation, and electronic submittal.

Safety – inspections, documentation, and electronic submittal.

Crew oversight and management.

Maintenance of crew production schedule. Lead safety toolbox talks, comply with Job Hazard Analysis and Site Specific Safety Plan.

Identify punch list and observations from previous week.

All closeout documents and QA/QC checklists.

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company's attendance policy.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of commercial or utility‑scale solar PV mechanical foreman experience.

2+ years of commercial or utility‑scale solar PV mechanical superintendent or construction management experience.

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience supporting the construction of major projects, preferably in the building of power stations or supply networks, or other utility‑scale construction projects.

Experience with multiple racking manufacturers, subcontractors, pile driver manufacturers.

Willingness to travel and relocate from project to project.

Experience with MS Project or comparable project management tools (preferred).

Experience with ProCore (preferred).

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Fluent in written and spoken English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience reviewing mechanical manuals of installation and design technical packages, understanding top‑of‑pile designs.

Assertive, able to cope with pressure, and maintain a team‑player attitude.

Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal
ational statutes and guidelines.

Attention to detail and ability to work in a time‑conscious and time‑effective manner.

May have to interact with owner's field representative and outside testing agencies.

Experience operating construction equipment, pile drivers and GPS surveying equipment.

Knowledge of installation methods for different mechanical systems in the industry.

Knowledge of preventive maintenance, grease, fuel, warranty procedures.

QA/QC inspection experience.

Updating drawings for as‑built documentation.

Supervision of pile pull testing and refusal logs.

Examples of Physical Demands

Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.

Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.).

Able to walk or move continuously while carrying 50 lb of tools and/or materials. Recommendation to get assistance lifting items over 50 lb. Check with your project supervisor or project safety director.

Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.

Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel). Full range of motion and flexibility required.

Requires repetitive movement.
