Position Summary The Leasing Coordinator assists with property management, leasing, and lease enforcement for the Randolph Housing Authority's public housing programs (236 elderly and under 60 disabled units, and MRVP and DMH voucher programs). Responsibilities include conducting background and CORI checks, reviewing landlord references, entering and retrieving applications from CHAMP as well as tenant selection, and filing and maintaining application records. The Leasing Coordinator ensures tenants and program participants comply with lease terms and program requirements, coordinates with maintenance staff on work order issues, prepares tenant lease recertification documentation, and provides direct assistance to clients visiting the housing offices.
Essential Functions
Process certifications and re-certifications; assist in making eligibility determinations
Ensure lease and program provisions enforcement; assist with eviction proceedings as needed
Review and track work orders
Coordinate with maintenance to ensure property and unit cleanliness standards
Maintain tenant and program files
Implement RHA property management policies, including smoking and parking regulations
Perform CORI, WAGE MATCH, and other applicant and tenant background verifications
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Physical Requirements Must possess the ability to walk and traverse rental units, hallways and offices and walk up and down stairs and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must be able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, stoop and crouch. Specific vision requirements include close and distance vision. Position requires the ability to communicate respectfully with tenants, applicants and staff.
Essential Skills and Abilities
Intermediate skill level with Excel, Word and Outlook
Valid Massachusetts Driver’s License
Possess a high school diploma
Successfully pass a CORI and employment background check
Ability to work effectively with a wide range of people, including those of different ages, races, genders, abilities, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
