Job Summary Experienced Customer Service Representative in Healthcare – Radiology outpatient team at Danbury Hospital, Ridgefield Location. Full‑time 40‑hour schedule, alternating shifts 7:30 am‑6 pm. Requires at least 3 years of customer service experience in healthcare. Union role with pay based on full years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Schedules radiological exams in Soarian scheduling system according to established policies and procedures.

Registers patients in Invision, obtaining accurate demographic and financial information.

Verifies insurance benefits, scripts, pre‑certification and authorization for services as necessary.

Performs reception and patient check‑in functions according to established policies and procedures.

Ensures work area is clean and well stocked and office equipment is functioning properly.

Projects a positive and professional image exceeding Danbury Hospital behavioral competencies and department standards.

Adheres to Department standards for Service Excellence.

Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of customer service experience in healthcare.

High school graduation or equivalent.

Alpha/numeric data entry and computer systems knowledge.

Desired experience in Invision, Cerner, Soarian, Document Imaging, PACS and Stentor systems; knowledge of radiology exams and insurance.

Working Conditions

Manual: significant manual skills/motor coordination and finger dexterity.

Occupational: Little or no potential for occupational risk.

Physical Effort: Sedentary/light effort, may exert up to 10 lb.

Physical Environment: Generally pleasant working conditions.
