Creative Producer

FatHappy, New Orleans, LA, United States

FatHappy is a video production company that often operates as a creative agency with many clients. We produce commercials, docu‑style films, and branded content for clients ranging from nonprofits and education to national campaigns. Our producers are the backbone of our projects: they’re client‑facing, creatively engaged, and operationally excellent from concept through delivery.

Position Overview We’re looking for a

mid‑level Creative Producer

who thrives in a hybrid role: part creative collaborator, part production lead, and part client partner. This person will manage projects from concept and pre‑production through production and post, balancing logistics, creative intent, and client relationships. This person will also bring a strong creative sensibility and hands‑on understanding of visual storytelling, design, or post‑production.

Unlike tiered production teams, our producers own their projects end‑to‑end. You’ll lead internal teams, manage external crew, and ensure that every phase of production aligns with the creative vision, budget, and schedule.

Who You Are You’re a proactive, detail‑oriented producer who knows how to make great work happen, no matter the budget. You think both creatively and strategically, finding ways to elevate the work while staying resourceful and efficient. You have an innate sense of ownership and accountability for everything you touch.

You believe teamwork and communication are non‑negotiable. You know how to give and receive feedback with transparency and grace, collaborate across departments, and bring out the best in others. You thrive in environments where everyone rolls up their sleeves, supports one another, and pushes for better.

Most importantly, you align with FatHappy’s values:

You leave ego at the door and lead with collaboration.

You’re committed to open, honest communication.

You “push it” — looking for ways to make each project sharper, smarter, or more efficient.

You’re not afraid of change — you see it as a path to improvement.

You take your work seriously, but you are joyful and adaptable along the way.

You’re the kind of producer who can think like a creative, act like a problem‑solver, and keep the team and client aligned from first call to final export.

You have a strong creative instinct and point of view. Whether your background is in editing, motion design, directing, or design, you understand how creative decisions are made and executed — and you use that knowledge to guide projects, support collaborators, and push the work further.

This role is ideal for someone who not only manages creative work — but knows how to elevate it.
