Job Summary
Assists in the daily operations and planning for clinical operations, programs, and initiatives. In the absence of the CNO, the Director assumes responsibility for assigned services.

Required
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Experience: 5 years of responsible management experience in a medical environment
Licenses and Certifications: (not specified)
Preferred
Licenses and Certifications: NLC Nursing Licensure Compact-BNE or current Texas license
Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing or healthcare related field
Experience: Ambulatory and/or outpatient experience preferred
Job Duties
In collaboration with the CNE and/or CNO, supports the vision and strategic direction for nursing.
Oversees supervisors and/or subordinates' managers to establish priorities.
Assists in developing philosophy, goals, and objectives for department; monitors metrics to assess and measure progress towards goals as appropriate; interprets, explains, and discusses data analysis results.
Fosters a patient-care culture that emphasizes patient safety and excellence in all aspects of care working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure the highest quality patient care.
Researches, recommends, and implements policies and procedures; assists in the application of policies, programs, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with all applicable standards.
Leads planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical programs and services, assuring appropriate resources for the delivery of care, under the direction of the CNO; assists in the development of a budget for new programs.
Leads implementation and monitoring of the patient care delivery model(s) utilizing the clinical and staffing standards; makes recommendations and supports strategies for improving clinical processes and patient outcomes, under the direction of the CNO.
Serves as role model to leaders, staff and community partners promoting service excellence, quality outcomes and financial efficiency; develops employee engagement strategies to promote employee satisfaction, retention, and talent acquisition; promotes a culture of customer service aimed at creating an optimal patient experience and a collaborative work environment.
Makes formal presentations to various senior level audiences; serves on committees as representative of assigned programs as appropriate.
Seeks opportunity to adopt best practice, eliminate duplication and maximize efficiency.
Continuously reviews nursing needs and effectiveness, safety initiative support, patient satisfaction strategies and other projects that require system oversight.
Ensures efficient and effective nursing operations including global projects, recruitment and retention activities, leadership development strategies, and clinical program development and design.
Performs other duties assigned.
