Planning And Zoning Director
This position is responsible for overseeing the planning and zoning functions of the city. The director will develop and implement policies and procedures related to land use, zoning, and planning. The director will also be responsible for reviewing and approving development applications, conducting public hearings, and providing technical assistance to city staff and the public. The director will work closely with other city departments to ensure that development projects are consistent with the city's comprehensive plan and zoning ordinances. The director will also be responsible for preparing and maintaining the city's zoning map and ensuring that it is up to date. The director will represent the city in meetings with other local, regional, and state planning agencies. The director will also be responsible for preparing reports and presentations for city council meetings and other public forums. The director will supervise a team of planning and zoning staff and provide training and guidance as needed. The director will also be responsible for managing the planning and zoning department's budget and ensuring that it is effectively and efficiently used. The director will ensure that the planning and zoning functions of the city are carried out in a professional and timely manner, in accordance with the city's policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations.
