Job Summary
The Communications Specialist plays a pivotal role in shaping and delivering Bi-State Development's (BSD) messaging to diverse audiences. This position works collaboratively with business groups across the enterprise to advance initiatives that support BSD’s mission and contribute to the growth and success of the St. Louis region.
Job Responsibilities
Writes and edits press releases, articles, blog posts, and other communications materials to effectively share initiatives and news.
Develops compelling content that aligns with brand voice and resonates with target audiences.
Conceptualizes, scripts, produces, and edits short-form videos for social media channels and other digital platforms.
Collaborates with internal teams to storyboard videos that convey key messages effectively.
Captures high-quality photos of customers, team members, and events to highlight impact on the St. Louis region.
Support and curate content for social media platforms, ensuring consistent messaging and audience engagement.
Works closely with colleagues across enterprises and business groups to gather information, align messaging, and maintain consistent branding.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficiency in video production, including filming, editing, and post-production.
Proven experience in professional writing, including press releases, blog posts, articles, and social media content.
Demonstrated experience in videotaping and editing high-quality video content.
Experience in professional photography, capturing people and events for organizational use.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
Knowledge of public transportation or related industries is a plus.
