Position summary: Hang live birds in a moving shackle on a conveyor belt about waist level. Essential Functions: Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Pick up birds according to animal welfare guidelines and place in a moving shackle. Rotate along different positions on the live hang production line. After training, must be able to hang 25 birds per minute. Cross trained to operate the cage dumper. Comply with all plant policies. Identify and report suspicious or abnormal situations to immediate supervisor or plant management. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Ability to lift and hang live birds weighing 7.0-11.00 for 100% of the workday. Standing/walking 100% of the workday. Must be able to perform repetitive motion. Must be able to work in a hot and dusty environment. Preferred Qualifications: 2 years live hanger experience. High school graduate.
