We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Public Relations with 8-10 years of experience to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
- Spearheading the planning and execution of public relations strategies for our clients.
- Working closely with agency leadership to update workflows, enhance approaches, and expand the department.
- Expertly handling internal and crisis communications needs with finesse.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with Google AdWords, display and mobile advertising.
- Managing a diverse range of projects for our esteemed clientele.
- Keeping the team informed of client and agency opportunities.
- Demonstrating a solid understanding of social marketing platforms to complement PR efforts.
- Active participation in meetings with clients, vendors, and colleagues to propose and implement effective PR strategies.
- Preparing, presenting, and executing PR plans aligned with client goals.
- Working within budgets and estimates to achieve optimal results.
- Taking the lead in writing news releases, handling media inquiries, and ensuring client preparedness through coaching and training.
- Collaborating with analytics and media teams to measure Key Performance Indicators for all projects.
- Contributing to proposal development and presentations to support new business endeavors.
- Serving as a subject matter expert for PR tactics.
- Experience in developing messaging, crafting press releases, initiating communications plans, and creating scripts, media briefings, and marketing communications.
- Possessing a robust media contacts list and a genuine desire to pitch the press.
- Demonstrating clear, concise writing skills following AP style guidelines.
- Proactively initiating and developing PR campaigns to generate media coverage, support reputation management, and drive positive client sentiment.
While the Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) credential is not mandatory, it is considered a valuable asset. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. This position does not entail any direct reports at present, however there is anticipation for building out a team with your leadership.
