Business Development Representative
CareBeam, New York, NY, United States
About CareBeam
We're a team of builders committed to giving clinicians their time back.
CareBeam is an ambient AI documentation and chart auditing platform that integrates directly with the major EHRs — automating clinical notes, E/M coding, and CPT capture in real time. Over a growing base of practices across specialties trust CareBeam to run cleaner, faster, more profitable clinical operations every day.
We're at an early and exciting stage: ambient documentation, real-time coding intelligence, and EHR-native workflows are converging into a platform that transforms how practices operate. This is a great time to join us.
Role Description
The Business Development Representative is responsible for building CareBeam's top-of-funnel pipeline through targeted outbound prospecting and outreach. You'll identify and engage the right practices, qualify opportunities, and set up the sales team to close. This is a high-activity, high-ownership role. You'll have a direct line to the CEO and your work will directly shape how we go to market.
Responsibilities
• Own outbound prospecting into our ideal customer profile — medical practices, group practices, and specialty clinics across the US
• Execute multi-channel outreach to book qualified discovery calls and demos
• Research and map target accounts to prioritize the highest-value opportunities
• Coordinate meeting logistics and prep for the sales team
• Partner with the founding team to develop territory strategy, refine messaging, and test new channels
• Maintain clean pipeline records and activity tracking in CRM
• Surface market feedback — objections, competitive intel, buyer language — that sharpens how we sell and position
Qualifications
• College degree or 1+ years in a sales or customer-facing role
• Passion for healthcare technology and how AI can improve clinical workflows
• Self-starter with high initiative — you build your own momentum, you don't wait for leads
• Drawn to sales as a craft and curious about what makes an outbound motion actually work
• Strong communicator, comfortable picking up the phone and talking to new people every day
• Organized, detail-oriented, and coachable
• NYC-based and able to work in person
Nice to Have
• Familiarity with healthcare, medical practices, or clinical workflows
• Experience with outbound tools like Apollo, Instantly, or HubSpot
• Existing network within clinical or medical practice settings
Benefits
• Commission: Competitive uncapped commission structure
• Equity: Stock options in an early-stage company with real traction and a growing customer base
• Ownership: Direct access to the founding team; your feedback shapes the product and the go-to-market
• Growth: Clear path to Account Executive as the commercial team scales
We're a small, founder-led team. We move fast and don't do corporate theater. If that sounds like your kind of environment, let's talk.
