JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE The Director of Strategic Growth leads business development efforts for large-volume industrial customers and economic development projects across Louisiana and Mississippi. This role is responsible for identifying, structuring, and executing strategic growth opportunities, including evaluating system capacity, conducting economic and rate analyses, negotiating service agreements, and coordinating infrastructure development required to support new and expanding customers.

The Director of Strategic Growth also builds and maintains relationships with industrial customers and state and local economic development organizations to advance Delta Utilities’ growth strategy, promote natural gas usage, and support energy efficiency initiatives while ensuring projects move effectively from pursuit and design through negotiation and implementation.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide strategic leadership for onboarding and supporting new and expanding large‑volume customers, including oversight of:

Gathering natural gas equipment information and associated gas requirements.

Directing the engineering review of available system capacity and any required infrastructure and associated costs.

Preparing economic feasibility and rate reviews.

Identifying appropriate tariff/service options.

Preparing and facilitating the negotiation and execution of large volume service/facilities agreements.

Ensuring effective coordination during infrastructure development and construction.

Cultivate and advance high‑value relationships with industrial, large volume, and LDC customers, ensuring alignment with corporate growth strategies.

Maintain insight into industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics to identify and pursue strategic opportunities.

Direct the Company's business development programs to maximize large volume customer retention, stakeholder engagement and grow market share.

Promote the Company’s programs and services and advocate for natural gas usage, including implementation of energy efficiency programs, to influence natural gas buying decisions.

Act as a Company point of contact to ensure large-volume customer needs are being met, to include areas such as billing, contracts, environmental sustainability, and changes in gas delivery needs.

Build relationships with local, regional and state economic development agencies to recruit new large-volume prospects.

Oversee contract administration and compliance for large-volume users in coordination with Key Accounts Manager.

Provide approval oversight for large-volume customer billing, including leadership of early-stage collection opportunities for overdue accounts.

Assist with the identification and analysis of competitive bypass options available to customer or prospect (gas on gas, upstream pipe, and other fuel).

Assist with the negotiations of approved competitive response options with customers.

Maintain executive level awareness of upstream pipeline supply and capacity conditions affecting assigned transportation customers including balancing, cash out and other related transactions. Coordinate closely with Gas Supply Group to ensure informed decision making.

Provide strategic direction and support for the annual industrial margin budget. Confirm customer consumption projections to assist in rate case development and regulatory filings.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or a related field

Minimum experience required of the position

10+ years’ relevant experience

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities preferred of the position

Ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers/stakeholders to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or modifications on technical, environmental or other complex concepts to individuals with little or no background in the area under discussion and proactively advocate for continued/increased usage of natural gas.

Ability to perform analysis involving financial investments, ratios, percentages and statistical methods.

Working knowledge of various software applications to create documents, spreadsheets, financial analysis, reports and/or graphics.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

Valid driver's license required.

Physical Requirements

Able to operate personal computer, either desktop or laptop.

Able to sit for extended periods of time.

Able to operate copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscellaneous office equipment.
