Job Summary
WIS is looking for an Anchor/Reporter to join our talented team as a weekend anchor. The role requires strong editorial judgment, news storytelling skills, and the ability to work with reporters and producers to produce engaging weekend newscasts.
Responsibilities
Anchor and produce weekend newscasts
Maintain journalistic ethics, news judgment, and decision‑making in crafting and presenting each show
Communicate effectively with staff and collaborate with reporters and producers
Develop and secure sources, present and shape story ideas that resonate with our audience
Shoot, write, and edit compelling coverage for all platforms
Meet deadlines and prioritize assignments
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field
Four years of multi‑platform reporting, shooting, and editing experience
Valid driver’s license and passed driver’s record check
