
CCVM Student Ambassador

Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill 12 CCVM Student Ambassador positions for the OSU Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine at Oregon State University (OSU). The Student Ambassadors will represent the OSU Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine in a variety of outreach and recruitment efforts. They will assist with leading college tours, participating in presentations, attending outreach events both on‑campus and off‑campus, communicating with prospective students, and more.
Position Duties
The Student Ambassadors will assist with leading tours, participating in presentations, attending outreach events, communicating with prospective students, and more.
There is not a required number of hours per week and students can sign up for events/activities that fit their schedule.
Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study.
Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment.
Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard:
High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home‑schooling program.
Undergraduate and post‑baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term.
Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term.
Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

Additional Required Qualifications
Applicants must be current DVM students in their first, second, or third year of the program in good academic standing.
A youth programs Criminal History Check must be completed if hired into this position due to outreach activities with minors.
Qualified applicants should be able to communicate clearly and with enthusiasm verbally and in writing.
Working Conditions / Work Schedule The student employee may be required to work up to an approximate 24 hours per week.
