Commodity Value Optimization Specialist
The Commodity Value Optimization Specialist job responsibilities include but not limited to: Manage Full Value Optimization responsibilities for assigned Direct Material Commodity areas within Serial Life Coordination responsibility for any cost impact as a result of Purchasing Performance or Powertrain specific reduction or over-recovery Ownership of assigned commodity supplier value optimization across full NA scope Close coordination with ongoing Program actions to drive efficiencies and optimization of Serial Life production Advanced understanding of supplier input into cost reduction activities Working knowledge of program critical parameters into supplier selection process and management Support technical cost-reduction initiatives by partnering with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Planning, Brand, etc. Review and interpret cost-savings models and implementation spreadsheets to validate accuracy and impact. Evaluate supplier-submitted technical cost-reduction proposals for feasibility, risk, and alignment with product requirements.
