The Company operates over 400 retail and outlet stores in the United States and Puerto Rico, the express.com online store and the Express mobile app. Location Name Columbus Corporate Headquarters Responsibilities The Video Editor reports to the Video Manager and plays a role in telling the Express story through video content captured on set, at the photo studio and with external partners. The Video Editor will edit footage to make finished spots for placement across all channels, such as paid media, social media, and sales channels like express.com and emails. Key Responsibilities 85% Video Post-Production Creatively edit footage into digestible video stories Utilize brand-right editing techniques and adhere to established best practices for the distribution channels Edit audio including music, dialogue, sound design, etc. Color correct and grade footage Deliver video files to channel specifications 10% Video Content Ideation Partner cross-functionally with the Paid Media team, the Social Media Team and the Brand Voice Team to deliver video edits that convey the messaging the Brand requires Bring forth ideas to accelerate content performance Search for stock music and footage when necessary Partner with the Media Team to A/B test new ideas in market 5% Trend Patterning Stay current and up to date on the latest video trends within social media Pattern the current trends in filmmaking Stay up to date on the latest capture equipment and post-production innovations Other essential tasks that are not listed may be requested by your supervisor. Required Experience & Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Visual Communication or equivalent 5 years of experience in video editing and production Experience in marketing and advertising Expert at using Adobe Premiere Pro and Media Encoder Proficient with other Adobe Creative Suite apps including After Effects, Photoshop, etc Proficient with computers, digital asset management, and Mac OS Knowledge of Frame.io Knowledge of Google Docs Strong portfolio Experience in retail preferred Critical Skills & Attributes Excellent collaborator Results Driven Accountable Team Player Strong storytelling skills Creative Problem solver Ability to troubleshoot technical challengesFlexibility and adaptability Closing If you would like to know more about the California Consumer Privacy Act click here.
