What You Will Do
Process and enter customer orders using the company's computerized order processing system, timely, accurately, and efficiently.
Provide ongoing sales support to customers in person, by phone, or other means, ensuring above average communication for an excellent customer experience.
Process and evaluate special transfer or restock requests, including exceptions or credit requests, consulting with manager and following proper procedures.
Collaborate with other team members, departments, or branches to ensure consistent flow of communication and knowledge across all areas.
Continuously stay up to date on new, discontinued, back order/supply issues, or out of stock products to ensure appropriate communication with customers.
Position Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 2+ years of prior experience in retail sales within a professional environment and front-facing customer interaction; product training provided. Prior work experience with stone, granite, or slabs is a plus.
Functional Skills: Exceptional customer service and communication skills; self-starter who proactively finds solutions; ability to multi-task and handle various methods of customer interaction; good attention to detail, accuracy, and math skills for pricing calculations; ability to interpret written technical instructions and diagrams.
Certifications: Forklift certification as needed per location.
Technology Aptitude: Basic computer skills in Microsoft Windows environment with solid data entry skills.
Language Skills: Good written and excellent verbal communication skills to work with customers and all levels of the organization.

Other Important Information
Reports To: Branch Manager
Work Schedule: Ability to work flexible hours with overtime, including Saturdays (up to 45-48 hours per week)
Travel: None.
Work Environment: Occasionally exposed to moderate noise; may be exposed to outside weather conditions and proximity to material handling equipment, including forklift, and packaged, cement-based products such as grouts, cleaning, and sealing chemicals for tile and stone.
Physical Requirements: Regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, feel, talk and hear; must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., occasionally up to 50 lbs.
