Marketing and Social Media Intern (Summer 2026)
Options For All, San Diego, CA, United States
Why join our team
Options For All (OFA) is seeking a Social Media and Storytelling Intern to help capture and share the real stories of our people and our impact.
This role will be responsible for gathering photo and video content in the field, conducting informal interviews with employees and adults with disabilities we support (with appropriate consent), and packaging that content into high‑quality social media posts.
A core focus of this internship is strengthening the professional presence of OFA’s Executive Leadership Team. You will help develop consistent, values‑aligned branding for individual leaders and for OFA, while ensuring our content is respectful, accurate, and aligned with OFA’s mission and voice.
This role will also support external‑facing storytelling by creating posts that highlight Leadership Team members and OFA’s engagement with employers, community partners, advocacy partners, and other organizations that help bring our mission to life.
Internship dates:
June 1, 2026 – August 7, 2026
Location & Work Conditions:

Responsibilities
Develop a steady pipeline of usable, high‑quality field content (photos, short videos, quotes) that reflect OFA’s mission and values.
Create consistent, professional, people‑centered social posts drafted for Leadership Team members to strengthen their presence and credibility.
Produce regular partner and employer spotlight content that elevates OFA’s relationships and shared impact with the community.
Organize and document content assets so they are easy to find, reuse, and publish.
Capture stories that are consent‑based, respectful, and represent the people we support with dignity.
Visit OFA programs and community locations to capture day‑in‑the‑life moments (staff support, community engagement, employment services, milestones, and everyday wins).
Conduct brief, informal interviews with employees and, when appropriate and authorized, adults with disabilities supported by OFA and/or members of their support network.
Draft social posts for Leadership Team members (LinkedIn‑first, with optional adaptation for other channels).
Assist in creating distinct, consistent “executive brand” themes (thought leadership topics, tone, visual style, recurring series).
Turn field stories into leadership content that highlights culture, mission, community partnerships, and outcomes.
Create posts highlighting Leadership Team members’ engagement with employers, community partners, and advocacy and service organizations.
Edit and package content into ready‑to‑post formats (captions, images, short clips, carousels).
Maintain a lightweight content library with organized folders, naming conventions, and consent documentation.
Track basic content performance (reach, engagement) and share learnings with the supervisor.
Coordinate with program leaders and partner‑facing staff to schedule visits and identify story opportunities.
Work with HR/Employee Experience and Operations partners to keep stories timely, appropriate, and aligned with internal priorities.
Participate in check‑ins with the supervisor and occasional working sessions with Leadership Team members.
