Ability to handle sensitive financial and health information confidentially.

Your Workday You will perform follow-to-final collection activities on delinquent patient accounts, including statements, phone calls, and correspondence. Review and reconcile patient accounts to ensure accurate billing and outstanding balances. Contact patients, guarantors, and insurance carriers to obtain payment and resolve account issues. Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility to maximize timely reimbursements. Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), post payments, and adjust accounts appropriately. Investigate and appeal denied or underpaid claims with insurance companies. Document all collection activities accurately in the billing system. Collaborate with medical billing and front-office teams to resolve coding or billing errors. Maintain compliance with HIPAA, state, and federal regulations. Provide excellent customer service to patients with patience and professionalism.
