Pay From: $145,000 per year
MUST:
Experienced Sales/Business Development professional
8+ years of total experience in Federal, State, and local Business Development focused in the IT Services space
Strong understanding of the BD lifecycle and sales in Federal / State Government Contracting
Knowledge of how to find leads, contact and qualify leads relevant to the client’s organization
Preferred experience working with and supporting State Government work (especially counties around the DMV)
In-depth knowledge of state and local government procurement processes, regulations, and contracting vehicles
Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with government agencies, including procurement officers and key decision‑makers
Ability to travel when needed, attend events, industry days, be client‑facing, and represent company interests on current programs and various opportunities in the area
Experience going on site to meet clients and identify opportunities in sales
Experience developing and maintaining a call plan
Experience performing research and analysis on core customers
Strong business acumen
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Be organized and prepared to discuss various business opportunities/leads with clients and why we recommend pursuing those government opportunities
Ability to multitask
BA/BS degree preferred
DUTIES:
Integral part of the BD team, identifying and pursuing opportunities in the Federal space and State Government
Willing and able to go onsite, attend client events, conduct research, and perform ‘door knocking’ to identify potential business opportunities within state and local government sectors for IT services and solutions
Leverage past experience and relationships to pursue new opportunities in the Fed Health space
Help identify opportunities to grow current work and qualify new leads for business development opportunities in the region
Visit client sites to meet with and identify potential needs
Attend industry days and events as a representative of the Business Development team and a voice for the company to clients and partners
Identify Government leads and CORs and contact them
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers, procurement officers, and other relevant stakeholders in government agencies to understand their needs and position our services effectively
Willing to learn the client process and work with senior Business Development leads
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including responding to RFPs, crafting proposals, and presenting our solutions to government agencies
Develop, build, and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and companies
Assess and analyze the competition for pipeline opportunities
Create call plan
