Job Summary
Job Summary:
Riverview Estates is seeking a dedicated and creative Activities Director to lead and coordinate engaging recreational and therapeutic programs for our residents. The ideal candidate will bring energy, compassion, and strong organizational skills to enhance the quality of life for individuals in our care.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, develop, and implement a comprehensive activities program tailored to residents’ interests and needs
Organize daily, weekly, and monthly activity calendars, including social, educational, and therapeutic events
Facilitate group and one-on-one activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being
Coordinate special events, outings, and holiday celebrations
Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation and program effectiveness
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support individualized care plans
Supervise and support activity staff and volunteers
Qualifications
Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and/or Assisted Living Facility (ALF) required
Must hold a valid Activities Director Certification or be a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to plan and lead diverse programming for varying levels of care
Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused approach
