Sales Representative, Small Business Services
This role targets clients and prospects with 1-49 employees across a defined geographic territory. You will identify and sign new clients for payroll, tax, human resources, benefits and more, while also selling additional solutions to existing clients. Daily you will cultivate relationships, set appointments, gather leads, assess client needs and use ADP’s latest sales technology to close business.
In this role you won’t need prior sales experience; ADP’s high‑quality training will equip you with the skills and tools to succeed.
What you’ll do
Grow our business while growing your own by working independently and collaboratively to close sales, win business, and reach sales goals.
Turn prospects into loyal clients by implementing a sales strategy targeted at decision‑makers and business owners.
Deepen relationships across the ADP family by selling cloud‑based HR solutions and strategically cultivating additional business within existing accounts.
Collaborate daily as a trusted advisor, partner, and ADP ambassador to clients, internal partners, and the overall network while demonstrating grace under pressure and the highest ethical standards.
Required qualifications
Positive self‑starter with an upbeat, persistent style and the ability to cold call without fear of rejection, manage time well, and present ideas clearly—on paper, in‑person, and over the phone.
Agile solution seeker who can find an answer or a solution, even in times of fast‑paced change.
Continuous learner who is always growing and questioning how things were done to improve them.
A college degree is great but not required. What is more important is having the skills to do the job. Other acceptable experiences include:
One to two years of prior work experience or internships in Retail, Marketing, Business Development, Food Service, Insurance Sales, or another relevant industry.
Military experience.
Preferred qualifications
Prior quota‑carrying experience.
Ability to successfully build a network and effectively use social media for sales.

Base salary offers may vary based on location, skills, and experience, and some positions include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. Compensation for this role is USD $35,900.00 – USD $77,700.00 per year. Actual compensation will not be less than the applicable minimum wage or minimum exempt salary requirement under federal, state and local laws.
