Position Summary
We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates to work at our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire store staff to provide excellent customer service for both buying/retailing and lending transactions. The associate greets, engages, and processes sales, loans, and related transactions across a wide range of merchandise, including jewelry, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. The hourly wage plus commission based on productivity is the basis for compensation.
Responsibilities
Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Handles all cash and negotiable items according to company policies and regulations.
Answers incoming calls per company standards.
Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers.
Partners with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
Successfully completes all assigned training.
Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
Minimum age of 18 years.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Strong desire to serve customers and be team‑oriented.
Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
Basic math proficiency.
Cash‑handling experience preferred.
Ability to work at multiple locations as needed.
Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and office machines.
