Job Summary The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for lead generation, conversion, and maintaining business relationships with current and prospective customers and optimizing customer service experience.
Essential Duties And Tasks
Contact new and existing accounts and provide support by understanding the customers’ business, anticipating their future needs and becoming their primary supplier.
Meet/exceed minimum number of phone calls.
Ensure CRM records are up to date and kept current.
Participate in all required training.
Monitor and report on market conditions/feedback.
Provide excellent and ongoing customer service and support.
Recognize and identify customer needs and implement suggestive selling.
Forecasting to maximize customer assortment.
Maintain vast product knowledge to emphasize product features and benefits, negotiate prices, discuss terms and prepare sales agreements and/or reports.
Perform additional duties as required to support the department's effective operation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is preferred or an applicable combination of education and experience.
Sales experience preferred
Strong attention to detail
Proficient and effective communication – Verbal and Written
Ability to travel up to 25%
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. The employee may be required to bend, twist, reach, pull and operate office machinery and motor vehicles.
Must be able to lift to (50) pounds
This position occupies a normal climate-controlled office setting, but the employee may be exposed to outdoor conditions such as inclement weather and varying degrees of temperature while traveling to meet position expectations.
WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS
Main hours are Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm in office.
