Job Details

Job Title: Marketing Communication Specialist

Location: South Brunswick, NJ (hybrid with a requirement to be onsite four days per week)

Contract Duration: 4 months

Pay Rate Range: $60.00 - $66.56/hr on W2

Travel: 20%-30%

Responsibilities

Drive local customer engagement through compelling storytelling, and impactful presentations. Support both proactive and reactive, customer‑driven projects to significantly increase the likelihood of generating and winning business opportunities. Serve as a strategic partner to the Regional Customer Marketing Team by leveraging local market insights and trends, and by collaborating cross‑functionally to deliver high‑impact presentations for our customers.

Long Description: The Customer Marketing Temp role is responsible for developing and delivering local market insights through outstanding and differentiated customer experiences. Key responsibilities include engaging customers at a local level, bringing forward trends, opportunities, initiatives, and targeted local marketing promotions, and delivering creative, impactful presentations.

The scope of the role covers North America (U.S. and Canada) and the TASTE portfolio (flavors, seasonings, and natural colors).

The ideal candidate is ambitious, proactive, and willing to challenge the status quo while embracing and driving change. They possess a strong ability to generate market insights, demonstrate curiosity about markets and consumers, and show a genuine passion for taste, food, and beverages. This role requires the ability to create commercially relevant, uncommon presentations and innovative ideas that deliver memorable customer experiences.

Strong presentation skills and comfort presenting to customers are essential. A true passion for food and drink, along with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead through influence, are critical for success in this role.

Key Roles

To drive local engagement with customers with impactful presentations, powerful storytelling, compelling ideas, and meaningful ways to connect.

To support pro‑active and reactive customer‑driven projects in a way that significantly increases the chances of generating and/or winning business opportunities.

To be a strategic partner for the Team by bringing forward local market insights, trends and collaborating with the Category Marketing and other teams to bring forward to customers the defined Category Initiatives in an impactful way.

To deliver creative and impactful communication that is on brand and improves the image of Client's internally and externally.

How this is Achieved

Roll‑out of strategic growth initiatives to relevant customers.

The creation of compelling marketing material for Client's commercial team and external customers, while coordinating with and integrating presentation inputs from internal cross‑functional peers (e.g. technical inputs into a customer presentation). Marketing material includes but is not limited to proactive presentations based on category opportunities, reactive presentations based on customer needs, trend reviews, one‑pagers, brochures, innovation days, videos.

Deep understanding of market trends and customer insights. Flexibility in developing compelling storytelling, tailoring narratives to meet the specific needs of customers and brands.

Extensive cooperation with internal cross‑functional peers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business, or Food Science & Technology

Flavor or Scent experience preferred

Strong communication and presentation skills

Experience in market analysis, communication campaigns, concept development and event management

Ability to digest marketing information from numerous sources as well as data sources, create logical arguments and apply it relevantly, to determine direction and future idea focus.

Ability to interact and influence multiple departments to ensure that customer needs are met

Ability to multi‑task and prioritize

Can‑do attitude, ambitious, proactive and ready to embrace and deliver change

Team player - willing to share knowledge and collaborate with others within and outside marketing
