Job Overview Canon USA in Jamesburg, NJ is seeking a Customer Relations Representative III to provide high quality customer service. The role requires handling phone calls and emails for a generic department inbox, investigating and resolving customer claims and inquiries—including escalated issues—and responding to non‑routine questions that require deviation from standard procedures. The representative may also process credits and refunds and handle exceptional circumstances.
Standard work schedule: 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The position is full‑time and hybrid, with office presence Monday‑Wednesday and optional remote work Thursday‑Friday unless business needs require otherwise.
Responsibilities
Answer phone calls and emails to the generic department ambassador with a high degree of customer satisfaction.
Investigate, analyze, and resolve complex customer service, billing, and technical issues.
Process credits, refunds, and other exceptional circumstances.
Respond to non‑routine questions requiring deviation from standard procedures.
Train and mentor junior Customer Relations Representatives.
Assist sales team with critical account analysis, when required.
Represent Canon to customers by providing information and troubleshooting product problems.
Work under minimal supervision; decisions made under the close supervision of managers.
Qualifications
Typical general or vocational training plus 2–4 years related experience.
Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of Canon’s product lines and service policies and procedures.
Experience with Google Applications.
Ability to leverage technology to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Compensation Hourly rate: $23.47 – $35.14.
