As Sales Manager at AFA, you are responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities and turning prospects into long‑term, profitable partnerships. You understand customer needs and translate them into tailored AFA solutions that truly add value.
Main responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities and convert prospects into long‑term, profitable partnerships
Understand customer needs and translate them into tailored AFA solutions that deliver real added value
Proactively approach the market, including cold acquisition, and build strong, sustainable relationships
Represent AFA in customer meetings and convincingly present our product portfolio to Product Managers, Packaging Development teams and senior stakeholders
Take ownership of the full sales cycle: from preparing quotations and pricing proposals to follow‑up and closing
Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and reliable forecasts, ensuring clear and structured reporting
Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes, tools and commercial performance
Support Sales & Marketing initiatives and actively participate in meetings, trainings, exhibitions and industry events
Plan and organize customer visits and travel effectively to achieve personal and team targets
Your profile
10+ years of experience in consultative selling (preferably value & service selling)
You have a strong background & established network in the Personal Care world industry, from Hair and Body to Skin Care > must have
Proven ability to tailor your sales approach to each customer by understanding their portfolio, strategy and needs
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels
Skilled in identifying, researching and qualifying new prospects within your sales territory
Entrepreneurial, proactive and results‑driven, with a strong sense of ownership
Experienced, confident and passionate about closing deals
Willing to smoothly transfer new customers to Customer Service and Account Management, while staying focused on winning new business
Flexible and willing to travel frequently within the DACH region (approx. 60–75%)
The ideal place to live is North Brabant area in the Netherlands or North Rhine‑Westphalia area in Germany
Speak fluently German and English (both also written)
