Brand Sales Specialist: Storage - Fusion Storage Specialist Responsibilities

Drive Demand Creation: Develop and execute demand creation strategies to identify and pursue new sales opportunities for AI and Openshift Storage solutions, including IBM Fusion, Fusion HCI, Ceph, Scale, and Content Aware Storage (CAS)

Progress Opportunities: Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and progress opportunities to close.

Solution Delivery: Deliver tailored solutions to meet client needs, utilizing the IBM Fusion Portfolio.

Business Growth: Identify and capitalize on business growth opportunities, driving revenue expansion through strategic sales planning and execution.

Client Engagement: Engage with clients to build relationships, understand their needs, and provide solutions that meet their High Performance AI Storage needs and their Red Hat Openshift Container Storage requirements.

Required Education High School Diploma/GED

Preferred Education Bachelor's Degree

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Combination of knowledge and expertise in Openshift/Kubernetes, software defined storage (SDS), and high performing AI Storage environments.

Understanding of container orchestration, management and storage solutions, specifically within Openshift and Kubernetes environments.

Knowledge of data protection solutions for containerized applications.

Deep understanding of storage infrastructure for AI workloads and enterprise‑level sales expertise.

AI/Modern workload familiarity of storage requirements for AI GPU workloads, high performance computing (HPC) and hybrid cloud environments.

Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to prospect, qualify, negotiate, and close complex sales deals, often working with business partners.

Ability to sell both software and hardware solutions.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to engage with C‑level executives.

Consultative Selling: Experience in value‑based selling, creating business cases, and identifying client pain points.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

Familiarity with IBM Storage portfolio including Fusion, Ceph, Scale as well as Data & AI software like WatsonX.

Understanding of the AI ecosystem including data management of structured, unstructured and event driven data for digestion of AI workloads.

Knowledge of container management and orchestration platforms of Red Hat Openshift and Kubernetes environments.

Knowledge of competitive technologies like VAST, DDN, Weka, Pure Portworks, and Dell.

Understanding of the Nvidia platform and Go to Market initiatives.
