Responsibilities

Own the full range of Ethicon offerings of comprehensive surgical devices and solutions including hemostasis, energy sealing and dissection, surgical stapling and wound closure platforms. Focus on growing the energy and endomechanical platforms.

Sell surgical solutions to surgeons and hospital decision makers, primarily in an operating room setting.

Be assigned a sales territory focusing on assigned physicians and hospital institutions.

Attain forecast in assigned accounts/territory.

Set priorities and make sound business decisions based on sales opportunities within accounts.

Additional Job Responsibilities

Understand and demonstrate proper use of products to clinicians in the operating room.

Manage customer questions and objections consistently with product indications and sales training methodology.

Execute the selling cycle in a concise, professional, ethical, and compliant manner to lead customers to action.

Conduct sales presentations using current selling methods learned in training.

Analyze data, stay updated about market information, and be responsible for business planning.

Build excellent customer relations with key physicians, hospital personnel, and authorized distributors; conduct customer education seminars as appropriate.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

1+ years of relevant business experience in medical sales (medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology) or healthcare, demonstrating exceptional achievement of sales objectives.

Valid driver’s license issued in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong sales performance with high growth, ability to target accounts and achieve results through a daily action plan; ability to collaborate with peers, marketing, strategic account managers, external distributors, and KOLs.

Strong time management and planning skills.

Hospital‑based pharmaceutical or medical device experience (operating room sales) and experience in product sales to a highly educated/high‑profile customer base.

Experience developing new, innovative markets.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills.

Team oriented.

Pay and Benefits The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

$65,000–$118,000

Additional Description for Pay Transparency: Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the Company’s sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees eligible for the Company’s consolidated retirement plan and savings plan (401(k)). Position eligible for long‑term incentive program. Time off benefits: Vacation – 120 hours per calendar year, Sick time – 40 hours per calendar year (Washington – 56 hours), Holiday pay – 13 days per calendar year, Work, Personal and Family Time – up to 40 hours per calendar year, Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of birth/adoption/foster care, Condolence Leave – 30 days for an immediate family member, 5 days for an extended family member, Caregiver Leave – 10 days, Volunteer Leave – 4 days, Military Spouse Time‑Off – 80 hours.
