Senior Product Manager Subscription

Cleverbridge, Chicago, IL, United States

Sr. Product Manager Subscription & Lifecycle Cleverbridge is the smarter way to sell globally. As a premium Merchant of Record (MoR), we simplify global software sales by combining powerful platform capabilities — including payments, subscriptions, taxes, and compliance — with expert services that fuel growth across the entire customer lifecycle. From onboarding and implementation to ongoing optimization and strategic guidance, our team works as an extension of our clients', helping them remove friction, reduce risk, and expand into new markets with confidence.

About the role We’re building the platform that enables companies to sell online and manage the full subscription lifecycle.

Today, we provide a

Subscription Management Portal (SMP)

that allows end customers to manage subscriptions, billing, and payments. However, this experience is

limited, fragmented, and under-adopted , especially for complex and enterprise use cases.

At the same time, market expectations have evolved:

Businesses need flexible lifecycle management to support retention and expansion

This creates a clear opportunity. The subscription lifecycle experience is not just a UI layer — it is the control surface of the customer relationship, directly impacting retention, expansion, and cost-to-serve.

We’re looking for a

Senior Product Manager

to own and evolve this into a scalable, core product capability.

This role is focused on the subscription lifecycle experience but

may expand or shift scope as business priorities evolve . It requires a product manager who can operate beyond a single domain and take a

holistic view of the product and company strategy .

What You’ll Do

Define product direction & priorities: Own the vision and roadmap, translate signals into priorities, and make clear trade-offs aligned with company strategy

Build a scalable subscription lifecycle experience: Define how customers manage subscriptions end-to-end

Drive retention and expansion outcomes: Improve retention, expansion, and self-service adoption by prioritizing high-impact initiatives with clear business cases

Drive adoption at scale: Reduce friction in onboarding and usage, improve how the product is integrated into client flows, work with GTM on positioning and rollout

Lead product discovery and development: Own the full product lifecycle from discovery to delivery, working closely with Engineering and cross-functional teams to ship, iterate, and scale high-impact solutions

Own outcomes, not just delivery — ensure shipped features translate into measurable business impact

Align stakeholders and drive decisions, ensuring shared understanding of vision, priorities, and outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

6+ years of product management experience (SaaS, fintech, or ecommerce)

Proven track record of owning high-impact, customer-facing products end-to-end

Core Product Skills

Strong product judgment — able to identify the right problems to solve and make clear trade-offs

Ability to operate in ambiguity and define strategy from first principles

Structured thinking and prioritization — you focus on what drives the most impact, not just what’s requested

Data-driven decision making — you define success upfront and measure outcomes rigorously

Strong execution discipline — you drive from idea to shipped product and measurable impact

Experience working on complex systems with multiple dependencies (e.g., payments, billing, platforms)

Ability to align and influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams

Act as a bar raiser within the product organization, contributing to team development and mentoring other PMs where needed

Clear, concise communicator — able to simplify complex topics and drive decisions

Additional Qualifications

Experience with subscriptions, billing, or invoicing systems

Experience with payments or commerce infrastructure

Entrepreneurial mindset — ownership, initiative, and drive

Comfortable operating in fast-changing environments.
