Job Description:
At Regions, the Small Business Administration Small Dollar Specialist is the lead bank contact for a book of Small Business Administration industry clients. Client contact is made through virtual meetings, telephone, and email. This position is within the Regions’ Commercial Banking business unit and focuses on delivery of credit and a broad range of product/service client solutions across various markets.
Primary Responsibilities
Educates branch and small business associates on the benefits of SBA lending
Creates strategies to originate SBA Loans with Internal Partners and in the marketplace of $500,000 and less
Presents the company's loan capabilities and structures SBA loan proposals for SBA Small Dollar
Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of SBA policies and structure, product knowledge, and financial analysis
Serves as a central point of banker and client contact for potential SBA opportunities
Identifies and develops relationship strategy for clients
Coordinates with internal partners to fulfill the solution agreed to by the client
Plans and executes quality client calls
Manages transaction processes with support as required
This position requires the tracking of time for hours worked in excess of 40 per week and is eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
Two (2) years in a client‑facing financial services role
High school Diploma or GED
Preferences
Bachelor's Degree

Ability to partner with various internal partners and product areas across the firm
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong negotiation skills
This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.

Compensation Details Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point‑of‑market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location, and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
Job Range Target Minimum:
$70,612.50 USD
Median:
$89,218.50 USD
Incentive Pay Plans This role is eligible to participate in a commission incentive plan. Employees have the potential to earn commission based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
