Environmental Conservation Consulting NY, LLC is a leading arborist consulting firm serving New York City. We specialize in tree inspections, inventories, permitting, and on‑site arborist oversight for major infrastructure and construction projects.
We are seeking motivated, detail‑oriented professionals who enjoy working outdoors and want to grow in the field of urban forestry and arboriculture.
Role Description This role is ideal for experienced professionals with a background in arboriculture, forestry, horticulture, environmental studies, or related disciplines. The Arborist Consultant will be responsible for field inspections, reporting, client coordination, and oversight of tree‑related activities on active project sites.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct tree inspections and develop detailed tree inventories
Evaluate tree conditions and recommend appropriate actions
Prepare and submit professional arborist and inspection reports
Coordinate and oversee field activities, including contractor crews
Provide on‑site oversight for sidewalk excavation near trees
Apply for and secure forestry permits with NYC Parks & Recreation
Perform site audits and ensure compliance with project requirements
Serve as a liaison with NYC Parks for permits, inspections, and correspondence
Maintain strong client relationships and professional communication
Support additional project needs and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Associate’s degree or higher in Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Forestry, or a related field
or equivalent field experience in line clearance or arboriculture
ISA Certification (Required)
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to travel to job sites across NYC
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
