We are seeking a motivated and hands‑on Director of Operations to help oversee daily production and operational efficiency within a growing meal prep manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for an operations professional with 2–5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment and wants to play a key role in scaling production while maintaining quality and efficiency.

The Director of Operations will work closely with leadership to ensure smooth production workflows, strong team performance, and adherence to food safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities Production & Operations Management

Oversee day‑to‑day production operations within the meal prep manufacturing facility

Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality, efficiency, and food safety standards

Monitor workflow and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste

Support production planning and coordination across prep, cooking, packaging, and distribution

Logistics & Distribution Oversight

Establish and manage logistics processes for meal distribution and delivery

Improve systems for inventory movement, product handling, and order accuracy

Develop processes to support scaling distribution as the business grows

Supervise and support production supervisors and operations staff

Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training production team members

Foster a positive, team‑oriented workplace culture focused on accountability and performance

Provide hands‑on leadership on the production floor when needed

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce bottlenecks, and optimize labor utilization

Assist in implementing operational systems and best practices as the company scales

Track key operational metrics including output, efficiency, and production costs

Food Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards

Maintain adherence to GMP, HACCP, and food production best practices

Work closely with quality and production teams to maintain consistent product standards

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with leadership, kitchen teams, logistics, and supply chain partners

Support inventory coordination and ingredient availability for production schedules

Communicate operational updates, challenges, and opportunities to company leadership

Qualifications

2–5 years of operations or production leadership experience

Manufacturing experience required (food manufacturing strongly preferred)

Experience supervising teams in a production or manufacturing environment

Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume production setting

Knowledge of food safety standards, GMP, or HACCP is a plus

Strong communication and leadership abilitiesComfortable working both strategically and hands‑on within operations
