
Correctional Management Services Director

Position Summary
This position directs all business management of RGCI as comptroller. Functions include administration of all fiscal operations, Person in our Care accounts, the business office, budget preparations and control, the financial management of revolving fund operations and building project funds. It also directs and coordinates support services of the institution such as purchasing, food service, laundry, physical plant operations and maintenance, and stores/canteen and assists the Warden and Deputy Warden of the institution in policy determination and planning programs, operations, budgetary requirements, and utilization of facilities. This position also maintains records, makes reports, and performs related work as required.
Salary Information The starting pay is between $67,371 and $111,092 per year, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. The pay schedule/range is 81‑02. A two-year Career Executive trial period is required.

Job Details Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application. The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.

Qualifications Minimally Qualified Applicants
Management of budget and/or fiscal operations, including budget development and implementation, purchasing, and financial management (e.g., pertaining to programs, salaries/overtime, equipment).
Leadership or supervision of staff (e.g., interviewing, hiring, assigning/reviewing work, conducting performance evaluations).
Development and/or implementation of policies and procedures for an office, unit, department, etc.

Establishing performance standards for management services (e.g., business office, food service, maintenance) to include review and evaluation to ensure objectives are met.
Development, implementation, and modification of fiscal operations (e.g., allocating and maintaining funds, creating and requesting budgets, fiscal planning and reporting).
