We are working with a Chicago-based private equity firm focused on investing in lower middle market companies across the industrials sector. The team partners closely with management teams to drive operational improvements, execute strategic growth initiatives, and build long-term value across its portfolio.
They are currently looking to add a
Private Equity Associate
to support investment execution and portfolio management efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate potential investment opportunities across industrials subsectors including manufacturing, distribution, and industrial services
Build and maintain detailed financial models, including LBO and operating models
Conduct industry and market research to support investment theses
Participate in due diligence processes, including coordination with third-party advisors and management teams
Assist in preparing investment committee materials and presentations
Support portfolio companies on strategic initiatives, performance monitoring, and add-on acquisitions
Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience in investment banking or private equity, with exposure to the industrials sector
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including experience building LBO models
Exposure to industrials, manufacturing, or business services sectors is preferred
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Strong communication and presentation skills
Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university
