Superintendent - Concrete Construction
We are seeking an experienced Concrete Superintendent to join a fast‑growing concrete construction firm serving industrial, commercial and municipal clients. Concrete Superintendent Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
Review project plans, specifications and schedules to plan concrete work. Coordinate manpower, equipment and material needs with project managers and foremen. Work with subcontractors, suppliers and inspectors to ensure timely deliveries and approvals. Field Supervision
Direct and supervise concrete crews for formwork, rebar installation, pours and finishing. Ensure work is performed safely, on schedule and to quality standards. Monitor productivity and adjust staffing or sequencing as needed. Oversee proper use and maintenance of equipment (pumps, finishing tools, etc.). Quality & Compliance
Ensure concrete placement, curing and finishing meet specifications and industry standards. Conduct inspections of formwork, reinforcement and embedded items before pours. Coordinate with testing agencies for slump, strength and other field tests. Enforce company safety programs and OSHA compliance. Qualifications
10+ years of concrete construction experience, with a strong background as a Project Manager, Estimator and Foreman. Ability to read blueprints, technical specifications and shop drawings. Proficient in estimating square footage, volumes and material quantities. Knowledge of geometry, algebra and trigonometry as applied to construction. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet hard deadlines. Strong communication and team leadership abilities. Proficiency in standard construction software and Microsoft Office Suite. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management preferred (or equivalent experience).
