Construction Estimator

Open to candidates relocating (will provide assistance) as well as local candidates. Company is located in Tacoma, WA.
This in-office role (option to go hybrid after 6 months) focuses on estimating and cost management for large-scale
WSDOT and municipal public works projects . The firm frequently utilizes the
Progressive Design-Build model
and unit-priced bids, requiring a candidate who can manage complex pricing revisions over long-term project durations. Core Responsibilities
Estimating & Preconstruction:
Develop accurate unit price bids, perform detailed quantity takeoffs, and solicit subcontractor quotes for public works contracts. Design-Build & Change Management:
Track evolving project scopes, maintain detailed cost logs, and price change orders consistently with contract rates. Operations Support:
Assist with budget handoffs, track unit-priced work items, and provide pricing documentation for audits and owner reviews. Required Qualifications
5+ years
of experience in commercial landscape, heavy civil, or public works estimating. Proven experience bidding on
WSDOT or municipal projects . Expertise in
