Position Summary We are currently supporting them in the search for an experienced Superintendent – someone who genuinely loves building and is motivated by seeing a project through from ground-breaking to completion. This individual will lead all on-site construction activities and play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Independently manage day-to-day field operations for small to mid-size projects.

Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring high-quality workmanship and timely delivery.

Work closely with the Project Manager to support all aspects of project planning and delivery.

Lead project start-up and close-out processes.

Organise and maintain all contract documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Assist in developing and managing the construction schedule alongside relevant subcontractors.

Drive schedule adherence and ensure milestones are achieved.

Contribute to the implementation of project budgets in collaboration with the Project Manager.

Facilitate subcontractor pre-construction and coordination meetings.

Prepare and distribute essential site documentation such as daily reports, lookahead schedules, safety reports, and delivery logs.

Assist with construction layout and help drive timely progress on site.

Identify and resolve site issues, escalating matters where necessary.

Enforce on-site quality control standards as required by the client.

Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and emergency protocols.

Actively participate in the client's Safety and Health Management System.

Provide leadership and support to promote positive safety outcomes across the project team.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field-or equivalent experience.

5-7 years' experience in commercial construction, ideally within a general contracting environment.

Previous experience leading a site-based team is highly desirable.

Strong communication skills-both verbal and written.

Proficiency with construction management software; experience with tools such as Procore or Bluebeam is a plus.

Solid understanding of commercial construction methods, industry best practices, and LEED certification processes.

Demonstrates integrity, fairness, and a collaborative approach in all interactions.

Proactive mindset with a focus on problem-solving and exceeding expectations.

Willingness to travel periodically as required.
