Customer Credit Representative

As a Customer Credit Representative you will have the opportunity to handle routine customer account and credit inquiries by telephone in a courteous and efficient manner providing the highest standard in service. Performs duties intended to assure customer satisfaction and accuracy of customer accounts. Mainly assisting our customers to have a clear understanding of their accounts, by explaining billing inquiries, providing extensions, processing payments and/or making payment arrangements in accordance with Company policy, as well as assisting customers during weather events. Perform other duties which may be requested by authorized personnel. The AES Indiana Customer Service Center is a fast-paced inbound Call Center. The successful candidate will take calls from customers who have questions about their electric bill, service, and payment arrangements (including extensions) accurately and within established Company guidelines, as well as assisting customers reporting outages, power surges, among other failure in the power supply. High school diploma or equivalent with one (1) year of experience in a similar position required. Basic computer skills and knowledge of other general office equipment are required. Excellent communication skills (verbal & written). Problem solving skills. Willingness to learn new skills and ability to adjust to changes quickly. Must pass a Customer Service Representative test, including keyboarding, computer fluency and basic mathematics. Must work extended business hours, selected holidays and overtime as required. Must successfully complete the AES Indiana Customer Service Training program. Additional consideration will be given to any experience or training contributing to the applicant's ability to perform the job. We offer 4-5 weeks of paid training. Will remain in-office for up to 90 days for nesting. Must be available to work 40 hours per week throughout the training period. Training will be IN PERSON.
