Base pay range
$200,000.00/yr - $300,000.00/yr A real estate investment firm is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as the Head of Underwriting. Responsibilities: Oversee underwriting and due diligence procedures across all commercial real estate (CRE) asset classes on a firmwide basis Evaluate active CRE lending deals to ensure comprehensive underwriting and alignment with firm standards and sound risk assessment practices Drive the creation and enhancement of investment memoranda and underwriting templates to support informed decision-making Manage and maintain relationships with third-party vendors supporting the underwriting process Lead training and development efforts for both new hires and current team members to strengthen underwriting capabilities Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in underwriting across private, conventional, or institutional lending environments Proven track record in credit analysis and transaction execution within underwriting or credit-focused roles Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Seniority level
