
Senior Estimator

Position Summary
The Senior Estimator is responsible for leading the development of accurate and competitive cost estimates for complex infrastructure and utility construction projects. This role works closely with internal stakeholders to evaluate scope, pricing, risk, and constructability to support successful project delivery.
What You’ll Do
Lead the estimating process for complex construction projects from initial bid review through final submission and project transition
Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to fully understand project scope and requirements
Prepare and oversee detailed quantity take‑offs, cost estimates, and pricing proposals
Develop project budgets, cost projections, and preliminary schedules
Identify potential project risks and contribute to mitigation strategies
Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing
Collaborate with project and field teams to validate assumptions related to production, materials, and execution approach
Participate in bid reviews, meetings, and site evaluations as required
Ensure estimates align with contractual requirements and internal procedures
Support ongoing client and partner interactions related to current and future opportunities
Analyze historical cost data and contribute to value‑engineering initiatives
Maintain organized estimate documentation and cost history records
Provide guidance and support to less experienced estimators and support staff
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a construction‑related discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered
Extensive experience estimating complex construction projects with self‑performed and subcontracted work
Strong understanding of competitive bidding, budgeting, and cost forecasting
Proficiency with common business and estimating tools and systems
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with high attention to detail
